Dr. Joel F. Callins

Dr. Calkins was my dentist in Baltimore,md . He was the best dentist, I was sad when he left Baltimore. Now I am even sadder to know of his passing.

I was perusing the Obituaries looking for a childhood friend of mine that had recently passed, and I ran across Joel's Obituary. Currently, I am in shock and so sorry that another one of your family members has made his departure from earth. I know, however, that he has joined Reuben and Jothan in heaven laughing about Jothan and their car stories.

Joel was a good friend and my dentist when I lived in Birmingham. I had the privilege of becoming friends with his mom, Sadie, Jordan, and Miriam. Joel was always happy and encouraging. I will miss him. Peace and love to his family. Jacque Kelley

I have a special love for Joel Callins and his family. I met them years ago at Ephesus Church. I went to Jamaica with them in 1993, and I love being accompanied on the piano by Joel Jr. Big Joel, as I called him, always complimented me when I sang, whether good or bad and he never was at a loss for words. I believe my life has been enriched by knowing this family. May God’s love, peace, strength, grace and comfort help them during this difficult time.
