Joel M. Canino

I just found this today and would like to extend my sincere condolences.

Dear Carol,
To my most special and best friend I ever had,
I am so very sorry I wasn't there for you. I just found out about Joel today. I am so sorry. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.
My heart goes out to you. Also, to Murry, Mona, Michael and the rest of the Canino family.
Joel will be forever etched in my mind and heart, as the gentle soul with a very sharp mind and big kind,caring heart. He loved you and his family so much. Joel's face always lit up...

Canino Family,
I am shocked and sad upon learning that Joel passed away. I worked for Joel at Sauer in the late 70s in Pittsburgh and Charlotte (when he had the black Porsche). Though he was a very, very tough and demanding "boss", I truly loved working for him. Joel was as sharp as they come. If you were on the "other side of the table" you knew you were up against a tough negotiator. Joel was always straight and fair. I followed his success in the later years and was proud and happy...

To the Canino Family,
I was very saddened this morning to have heard about Joel's recent passing. I have only known Joel for a little over a year, and during this time, we worked across the table on a very difficult business issue. Even in these turbulent business times, Joel stayed steadfast in his honesty and integrity. I will always think of Joel as a friend.

My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to all who have been hurt by Joel's passing. The world has lost a great man.

So sorry to hear of Joel's passing. In 1979, while working for Sauer Industries, Joel returned to his alma mater, Canton ATC, to hire one freshly minted graduate from the Air Conditioning Tech. program. That lucky guy was me.

Joel had a positive influence on me. I remember Joel picking me up at a hotel early in the morning for my first day of work, driving through the hills and dales of Pittsburgh faster than he should have. Rumor has it he had driver's licenses from various states...

Dear FamiIy, I never had the opportunity to meet you, but I did have the opportunity to fish with Joel on several occasions, as my son, James., was the Captain of the Double Down during those years when getting away for a few days on the ocean was so rewarding for him. He was so happy being on the water. If the fish were biting that was an extra. One of our great trips was to the giant tuna grounds off Nantucket. We had a terrific weekend, catching 2 giants; one that ran about 900 lbs. ...

Dear Carol,
We are thinking of you and your family...... throughout these next few months. Joel brought such wisdom to both Ron and I. He was so loved and admired by so many. I am glad we knew him. Thinking of you all,

Beth and I are saddened to hear of Joel's passing. It must be very hard on you. We can only imagine your sense of loss given the just accolades expressed by just his friends. He had a tremendous life and touched so many. I enjoyed working with him. I knew I would learn something new every time I went to see him. Our prayers are for you and your family to find peace in your memories of him. They will be never ending. Please let us know if there is anything we can do....

What a blessing to know and spend time with Joel. Our experiences both at Gemma and fishing with him were memories of a lifetime. He was an amazing role model. He touched our lives in a such a wonderful way! Our sincerest sympathy and prayers are extended to all his family.
