The fourth of five children, Joel Cochran was born to Jay and Linda Cochran on January 7th, 1982 in Castro Valley CA. He attended Contra Costa County Office of Education Special Education Program at Liberty High School in Brentwood. Joel walked with other Liberty High School Seniors for graduation in 2000. In 2004 he left Contra Costa County Office of Education Special Education Program at Liberty High School with a certificate of achievement. Joel then attended an Adult Day Program with ALIVE in Antioch until his passing.
Joel was a kind, sweet person whose smile and eyes spoke volumes. He loved listening to music, old radio shows, TV shows, movies, and books on tape. He particularly loved playing the board game SORRY.
Joel Cochran unexpectedly died of complications from pneumonia July 21st at Sutter Delta Hospital. Joel is survived by his father Jay Cochran and his siblings Joshua, Kathleen, Megan, and Jonah.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday September 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 2201 Golf Club Road, Pittsburg, CA 94565.
