I knew Joel when we were stationed together in the Coast Guard at Cleveland. He was a great person to know and had a great disposition/outlook on life. He loved his family and Cleveland. I am truly sorry to learn of his passing. I am sure he is missed.

Anna, Jack, and Rose,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Joel was a remarkable man and I have so many fond memories growing up with him and your entire family. He was a father figure to so many of us in the neighborhood. He provided me with constant guidance and advice that I carry with me to this day, and I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life.

So sorry to hear that Joel has passed. My wife Emma and I spent a lot of time with the whole family during the late 70's/early 80's before we moved away. Joel was always fun to be around and was so hospitable. You could discuss any subject with him and have fun doing it. A super family man and a real people person. My condolences to Rose and the entire family.

So sorry and my condolences to the family. I remember covering Jack when he wrestled. I then would look at Joel as he was very entertaining to watch during the match. Nice person and had a great sense of humor.
