Not sure what to say?

Dear Mr. Everett,
I remember how special you treated me and I always looked forward to our conversations, your insights and your warm heart. I am sorry that I did not see you the last time I was in Lacey. Know that you have raised a wonderful family and your daughter Allison is not only a good and strong woman but a dear friend. Thank you for all that you have done.

It was a shock to hear of Joel's passing. My borther Dave and Joel and I spent many memorable hours together fishing with our Grandfather and family, walking to Lakeway Golf Course carrying our clubs to play "exciting" golf or horseing around at family picnics. Goodby Joel you will be missed.

My childhood was enriched by my relationship with cousin Joel in so many ways. Our family picnics, fishing trips which always involved more horseplay than fishing with my brother Bill, our grandfather and uncles, and golfing at what was the Lakeway golf course in Bellingham certainly bring back wonderful memories I will always treasure. My thoughts and prayers go out for his wife Wendy and his children, and brothers Paul and Jonathon.

Joel was a wonderful man with big heart. Joel loved people, telling stories, some historical fact or a joke or two. Joel and Wendy opened their home to the friend in need, a stray animal or the organizations they were a part of. Joel will be missed by the many people and souls he touched. Heartfelt thanks go out to the Everett’s allowing me to share some of the giving nature and joy of your family. My sympathy goes out to you as you deal with your loss. I know Joel being as positive as he was...

My heart and prayers go out to the entire family. I pray you are comforted during this difficult time - particularly when there is so much love for Joel as I read through these entries. Much Love, Courtney

Dr. Everett was a very influential person in my life as was your whole family. Words cannot express the sadness in my heart, but I know he is listening to his music, joking and in a wonderful place right now. Love to all the Everett Family

It was my privilage to work with Dr. Everett for about 20 years at St. Peter Hospital. I enjoyed his sense of humor and admired his love and concern for his family. I felt like I knew you all, because he always had pictures of you on his cart and he was eager to share stories about the wonderful times he spent with you. Joel will be missed. My sympathy to his family as you grieve and as you celebrate his life.

My name is Rhauny, I had the pleasure of speaking with Joel almost on a daily basis for the last three years where I work. He used to always tell me he was sitting outside by a snow cap mountain with the sun glazing. He was a very positive and cheerful man and no matter what he was being put through on any given day, he was an inspiration. I will miss you Dr. Everett. Save me a cloud~ Rhauny Cole

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Kristopher is so thankful that he was able to spend some time with Joel before his death. He couldn't remember being around someone as devoted to a loved one as you were, Wendy......in sickness and in health. Our thoughts are with you all.
