Joel B. Fallon

Joel, my fellow poet, Catholic, friend for too short a time. One of the finest human beings I have met at the Sacred Grounds Open Mic readings. I apologize for this late entry. My sincerest best wishes to the family and especially his wife, who I had the pleasure to meet once.

Colonel Fallon was my commander as a member of the 79th USASA Special Operations Unit on Shemya, 1967-1968. A great commander and good man.

Joel was my Branch Chief (TacSys), Intel Div, 66MI Gp. in Munich. What a character this ("one of a kind") guy was. Dedicated, driven (mission first), fair but stern, he was a good leader and so much fun to work with and for. This man lived life to its fullest. Gods speed Joel!

Friend sent me the obituary on Joel and I am truly sorry to hear of his passing. I worked with Joel in Munich, Germany and enjoyed every minute. His dedication, integrity and work ethic set the example for his peers. He left the world a better place and I consider myself fortunate to have known him.

It is with sadness and a feeling of loss to hear of a good man's death. My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to Carolyn and Joel's extended family from a fellow Catholic [Serra High Grad] and poet, JC
