Shiva will be observed through Thursday at the home of Winkie Gabriel Hurwitz. How sad. I was a friend of his brother Mickey and was at his apartment where I first met Joel and his beautiful, but sad mother Anne. Even as a child, Joel was an extremely handsome boy as were all of the Hurwitz family. Joel was a quiet kid, not an annoying kid brother. Rest in Peace, Joel. You will always be a kid in my mind.
