I'm deeply saddened by Joel's passing. I met him when I was 13 and he's been one of the few consistent friends in my life. He was always there when I needed someone and helped me through some really dark times. I'm going to miss him very much. He was a wonderful person and a great friend. Joel Steven Murray at the Focus program 2003/2004 along with a letter I wrote to Jameala Clay back in 9th grade.
I met you in high school when I was 15 and you never left my life since. You gave me a place to stay when I needed it and helped me get a quick job at Subway. You had your way of getting my spirits up when they were down. You will be missed, Joel. No matter how many fights we had or how many times we lost touch.
