Not sure what to say?

dear joel, who was so dearly loved and respected by his friends and all who had the privilege to meet hi, whose gentleness and loving spirit will remain long after his earthly form has passed. my warm thoughts and embrace are with you, titus, and with his family, as you treasure those memories of the special person joel was. que dios les bendiga!

Joel was a gentle, quiet soul. We
shared a Unitarian service on Ralph
Waldo Emerson. The depth of Joel's
understanding was impressive. We were only beginning to know and appreciate him. Our deepest condolences to those who knew and loved him.

Although I did not know Joel that well, I never hear anything about him but something very positive. He was a very caring man. My condolences to his partner and family.

Today I heard a story related from a member of the UU choir in Savannah, GA - which Joel loved so much and was such an integral part.

They were to sing the song "In the Bleak Mid-Winter"

Joel is very much associated with that song here, he loved it, he performed it in an unforgettable way.

A choir member expressed that she had felt doubt at being able to get through that song at a memorial held at the UU church.

And that as she searched for strength she stepped...

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

Joel and his partner were friends of my wife and I for a number of years, and I remember with pleasure time spent rehearsing and singing with him in the UU Church choir in Savannah, as well as the hand painted holiday cards Joel so graciously gave to his friends.
Our condolences to Titus and to family and friends he left behind.
Vaya con Dios, Joel.

THE WORLD HAS LOST A BEAUTIFUL SOUL. I CAN STILL HERE JOEL'S VOICE, REMEMBER HIS POETRY, HIS PAINTING...FROM MANY YEARS AGO. THOUGH WE HAD NOT SPOKEN IN YEARS, HE HAD A PROFOUND IMPACT ON MY LIFE. HE MADE ALL OF US AROUND HIM SHINE A LITTLE BRIGHTER, PLAY A LITTLE HARDER, LOVE A LITTLE STRONGER. YOU ARE ALL IN MY THOUGHTS. JOEL WILL SURELY BE MISSED.

I knew Joey as a student and remember him as a fine fellow.

I'll always have fond memories of Joey when we were all so much younger. I know the family is hurting, and we are praying that the "... peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." ... We love you all...
