Joel Fuentes Rodriguez

Joel Fuentes Rodriguez died unexpectedly while visiting family in Watsonville on February 24, 2016. He was 57. A native of Artesia, New Mexico, he had lived in Watsonville for 25 years before moving to Hollister 3 years ago. He was a custodian at Monte Vista Christian School for 20 years and was an active member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Rodriguez enjoyed restoring old cars and listening to his favorite music. Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his mother, Dominga Rodriguez; two daughters, Anita and Christina Rodriguez; brother, Manuel Rodriguez; two sisters, Suzie and Senaida Rodriguez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Lupe Rodriguez, and a brother, Lupe Rodriguez, Jr. Visitation will be Tuesday at Mehl's Colonial Chapel from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Henry Vasquez from the Church of Christ officiating. A graveside service will be Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at Valley Public Cemetery.
