Not sure what to say?

Dad,

I cannot believe it's been a year that you've been gone. What a bittersweet year it has been. I just wish I could see the smile on your face with all of your grandchildren in your arms. There was a time when we weren't sure there would be any. Now you have four. Maybe this was the plan, for you to be able to see them all the time and be there to watch over them. As for Craig and I, you set an amazing example of what it means to be a father and it is something we both strive to...

My dear friend Joel,
I can't believe today you have been apart from us for 1 year! I will never forget that dreadful phone call I received from Joel Jr at approximately 8:00 p.m. informing me what had happened! I can still remember our conversation word for word. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you, but today even more so than any other day. It still just doesn't seem fair. You had so much to look forward too and so did all of us that were a part of your life....

Joel,

Happy Birthday buddy!!! Can you believe I FINALLY remembered this year? You would be so proud of me. Not a day goes by that I haven't thought of you. RIP my friend~ I miss you
Angela

Joel,

My final closure came today as my son and I traveled to Buffalo to "clean out" the storage area and your office. It really was not something I was looking forward to doing, but I knew it had to be done. Joel Jr was an absolute sweetheart and helped us from start to finish. The weather was horendous and we had to drive a 26' truck along with the new van we had just got you back to Syracuse. We drove most of the way home doing 30 mph. I was scared to death. At one point I...

Joel was the consiment joker and many times helped me thru my grumpiness with his attitude and ability to not let every little
molehill turn into a mountain. During one of my mountain days... He once said, "expecting life to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a lot like expecting the bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian." Regardless...
It's not fair my friend. Peace.

What a shock to hear of Joel's passing. I am saddened by the thought of loosing a former peer (B&H) and friend. My fondest memories are of Chicago at Neocon. The fun 10 hour ride with silly glasses, country vs rock radio stations and never ending laughter. Joel was an honest, hardworking, fun to be around guy with a surprisingly good singing voice. Always a true gentleman. I hope heaven lit off fireworks as you crossed the boarder. You will be sadly missed by all the people you...

My deepest condolences to all of Joel's family. I had the great pleasure of working with Joel several years ago and again on occasion throughout the last few years. It was always a pick-me up to hear from him, and as everyone else has said, his laugh was infectious. One of the most kind hearted and truly honest people I've had the luck to know. I will NEVER forget our trips to Neocon, all of us packed in Foster's van and the GREAT laughs we shared. Memories I will cherish forever. I am...

Joel Jr., Craig Donna and the rest of Joel's family ~ It has been to hard for me to have to leave you a guest book entry but I feel that I need to.
I first met Joel when I was 18 and working at Hoelscher's. He was always friendly, smiling and laughed at just about anything ~ we all know that was Joel!!! When he came to work WITH us in January 2003, he hadn't changed a bit ~ with the exception of his grey hair! He was still the same happy Joel I had always known. He was great to work...
