Not sure what to say?

I just received the news of Mr. Sheaffer´s passing from a fellow milt. I had the pleasure of having Mr. Sheaffer as my 12th grade English teacher and Mrs. Sheaffer as My high school choir teacher. I´m so grateful for the positive impact they have both had on my life. I´ll always remember Mr. Sheaffer´s sense of humor. Wishing your family love and healing during this time.

I just received the MHS Alum magazine and saw his name in the Staff Death section and was completely shocked! He used to pop into our afterschool yearbook class and joke around with us. I never had the pleasure of having him as my English teacher, but I want his family to know that he will be missed. Thank you, Jody, for helping us pass the time with your humor.

I just saw my old friend Jody passed away. I knew him in our younger years from high school and later working in flooring. Later on I seen him as a teacher, coach and a great communicator. God bless him and his entire family forever.

I had the opportunity to play for Coach Sheaffer for all 4 of my high school years. I will never forget his positivity during our hardest moments and his confidence in all his players. As a coach, he made sure we believed in ourselves and in our will to be great. He led us to our very unlikely win against Shippensburg by reminding us to play small ball and play the game we love. As a person, he made sure to care and to Make each and every one of us feel as important. As great of a coach as...

To the Sheaffer Family: So sorry to hear of the loss of Joel and Jacob. I want to thank you for the bottom of my heart for the many years with Max, Joyce, Sally, Allan, Dawn, John, Jesse, and Jacob. Estelle, and all the ladies in the nursing home, and Joel and Cristal. Then Michael Sheaffer and his wife and Michael´s Mother. Yes, the whole Sheaffer crew. If I let anyone out, my bad. Thank you for sharing your family especially Max for just being there. He was a hoot. Especially, when we...

As a grateful alumnus of Milton Hershey School, I had the privilege to met and watch Jodi as he coached MHS baseball. And to engage with him even more after he retired, as he earned his induction as an Honorary Alumnus of our home/school! Jodi was always a positive influence on the students, athletes and all those around him. Including me. His untimely passing hits hard. Heartfelt prayers and condolences to Cristal and all of his family. John Hanawalt `70
