Not sure what to say?

Bill, You and I went to UTM together. I was very sad to hear of your Dad's passing. I have very fond memories of good times in Martin,TN. I wish the best to you and your family.

Dear Alyce,
My husband Ed and I were so very sorry for your loss of your beloved husband, Joel. May you and your family find peace, comfort, and strength in the difficult days ahead to sustain you. We did not know Joel well, but we thought about you, him, and your family because of his sister, Janet, that we did know pretty well. We were sorry to hear that he had been sick. It was good to see you at the visitation, and God bless you and your family. Extending deepest sympathy to you...

First, I'd like to extend my sincere condolences to the entire family. I worked for Joe at SDS Enterprises in the sixties and considered him a mentor and a friend. Alyce might remember that Joe was an usher when KT and I were married August 10, 1968. Although I lost track I've told KT many Joe and SDS stories over the years. He was a rare man. Our very best to the family.

I remember your dad's voice - beautiful. He is now with a huge choir in heaven and it is in 4-part harmony. God has got to be happy with the songs they are singing. Hugs to the family - Tanya (Hahn) Young

Joel, my brother and I had so many great times growing up in the thirties and forties. Later on, we were at Texas A&M together, worked together in our own business and enjoyed always thinking of new products to invent. I will see Joel again when we meet at the feet of Jesus. God Bless Alyce & the Staehs sons.

Unquestionable man of integrity. Life of the party loved singing, dancing and telling a good joke. Impressionable

Joe, Alyce and I were very close all through high school in Beatrice, NE. Since then our lives have taken us different directions , but they have remained in my heart through all these years. All the best to you and your family, Alyce. Rest in peace, my friend. John Beckwith , Lincoln, NE.

Joel was my best friend and a father to me. He was the greatest leader I ever had. My life wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for this great man. He was the smartest person I ever knew. I will miss him very much. I love you Joel

Joe and I were born the same day in rooms next to each other in the Lutheran Hospital, Beatrice Nebraska. Alice and he were friends for life and I will never forget the great times we all had together. Heaven is blessed by having Joe there singing his heart out. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
