Not sure what to say?

Joel just ran across my mind the other day, so I looked him up. Was floored to realized he had passed. He came into my life in the form of an angel - he was trying to get my attention, but I didn't realize it during our first encounter. I met him again - we recognized each other. Loved his company - so smart, and yes, he told the greatest stories. We were at different phases in our lives, but Joel, I will never forget your beautiful soul. May God hold onto you ever so tightly - RIP my...

I think about you friend and you are not forgotten. Last time I talked with you and you were looking at a kayak. Many things we talked about, bikes, shooting at the Police Range, food, etc. Always in debt to you for being a true friend and not just someone I knew. Godspeed Joel.

Joel was on my mind and I decided to look him up. So sad to hear about your loved one passing sometime ago. I will always have a fond memory of him and walking our dogs in Fairmount Park.

Joel was a quirky guy with a big heart, great curiosity and intelligence, and a profound sense of responsibility to help others. It almost seemed like he was a person from a bygone era traveling lightly through this time and place. I'll always remember his warmth and gentle manner. He once told me that as a police officer, he did not like giving out tickets, but he much preferred carrying maps to give out to help people find their way. That was Joel -- trying to help people find their way.

We continued 2 b good friends when I moved 2 Old City. He was a good man, a good listener & a good friend. I just moved back 2 Jersey & thought I would look u up. My heart is heavy but...

I thought about my old friend Joel today and decided to look him up and came across this site. My heart is so heavy right now. I left the Philadelphia area over 20yrs ago and had lost contact with Joel. He was always a fun person with many interests and a great spirit. Rest peacefully, my friend.
