Not sure what to say?

My family knew Mr. Stevens when he lived in Pittsburgh, PA and worked with my father. Condolences to his family.

We just became aware of Joel's passing. He deserves all the many praises we have read. His love of famly & his integrity are inspiring. We hope the many precious memories you have of him will comfort you forever. Love, Ian,Jackie and family.

Starr, Gwen and Chris,

I am so sorry to hear of Joel's passing. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Betsy,

Please know that I am thinking of you and your family at this time.

Joel was a great man who practiced what he preached and encouraged us all to do the same. He had earned and was worthy of the enormous respect that came to him from anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
They don't make 'em like that any more.

Joel was a wonderful person. We are deeply saddened by your loss.

Dear Betsy:

Sue and I would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to you and your entire family. It was our pleasure to get to know you and Joel last year as you settled into a winter at 21 Oakwood Lane.

Chris, Gwen and Starr and Betsy,
Many fond Three Mile memories of Joel for me and my family. He will always be a big part of my Three Mile memory that I carry with me each day.
My prayers go out to you all.

Dear Gwen, Chris and family, We were very sad to hear of your Dad's passing. We shared many good times here in Monmouth and you have always been best friends of our past. Chris, remember riding in our Ford truck! Gwen when you and Kris locked me out of the house. Remember all these good times and the love that was shared. Your Dad was a special person and did so many great things. Our love to all of you.

I have great memories of knowing Joel from our times at Three Mile. That dreaded call I had to make to him advising his yellow boat broke mooring at Hawke's Nest and was recovered *SUBMERGED* at Beaver Island. . . I didn't think would go over well. . . but he always took things in stride. Something like 'now I can repower it' (and rename it SUBMARINE).

I wish you all happy thoughts in the face of Joel's passing, hang on to the good ones!
