Not sure what to say?

Joel was an inspiration to all who knew him. His legacy will live on. He and my husband, Phil, sahred the dreadful MS disease, yet, they both carried it with dignity and grace. May they both walk together in the life they now share, upright and climbing mountains. My love and blessings go to the family. His books will forever be in my library to hold and cherish. With love and peace, Jo Gross

I am saddened over the loss of friend Joel. We were friends while I was at the Chamber of Commerce with Gordy Olson, and we together participated in many photoshoots for the Chamber. It was a pleasure to visit with him about 4 years ago at his home and a later telephone call, and together we had much reminiscing done. Fairview and the mysteries of Newton Hills also came up..........

Prayers are with all of you. He was a godly mentor for all of us.

Dear Lavonne and family,
We wish we could be with you and your family this morning but our family is together preparing for the funeral of my twin sister. Sadness yes but great peace and gratitude. We are so thankful for your friendship and faith witness.
We will get together later. God Bless you. Much love,
Dick & Connie

To Joel's Family...Though we didn't know Joel personally, we could "see" him and his faith in his beautiful pictures. We know you will miss him, but can you imagine the glorious pictures he's taking now! We wish you peace as you say good by for now.

I am very sorry to hear about Mr. Strasser's passing. He was truly a man of God. I have many great memories of him when I was growing up in Sioux Falls and spending time with his son Joel. He was a great leader to his family, and he was passionate about his profession. He always had a smile and a kind word to say.

Jay, my sympathies to you and your family.

Dear Lavonne and family - Wendell and I send our sympathies. We have been inspired by Joel' s integrity and kindness through the years. God bless. Wendell and Karen

One heck of a fine photographer.
