I was on USCGC (WHEC 715) with him. We just found out . He was a nice guy, I remember his accent and a smile always on his face. I'm sorry for your loss. So young.

Heaven gained another angel My cousin Joel was such a fun loving guy. He was the 1st born grandson & I'm the 1st born granddaughter of our Moms' family, so we had a ton of fun & so many great memories growing up together! I've always described Joel as the man you want your daughter to marry. I will never get rid of my Rolling Stones shirt and that picture will be out forever. I love you too Joel.

Joel had a way of making you feel right at home wherever you were.
Immediately upon meeting I knew he was perfect for Tracy and would be family.
And he was.
His warmth, generosity, and laughter filled whatever space he was in and I constantly found myself smiling and hugging him whenever he'd least expect it.
The last time I I saw him, before the pandemic,
I remember we probably hugged ten times before
