Joella Wells Schroeder

Joella was 9 years older than I am. She was such a loving big sister for all of my life. We became much closer when they moved back to Oregon and was my support, advisor, and friend. She was always there and helped me through some really rough patches in my life. I lost 2 babies at birth. She was there anytime the sorrow enfolded me. Her arms opened and she hugged me tight telling me all the right things to sooth my pain. She was there through my messy divorce and my messy life. ...

I miss you so much and think of you often. I remember our last hug and cherish it. You were so much more than a sister to me. You were amazing. Had it not been for Covid I would have been able to see and talk to you more in the end but I know you´re with Allen and family and are at peace.

I want to thank you for letting me sleep with you on the cold nights when I was young. You were a wonderful sister. I will miss you and love you.

I was always her favorite nephew ;-)
