Courtney Farris Crow, age 23, and her infant son, Joey Dalton Ducote, both of Amity, died Thursday, June 12, 2003.

Courtney was a dietitian for the Glenwood Nursing Home and is survived by her son, Layton Crow of Amity; her daughter, Savannah Crow of Amity; her mother, Geraldine "Gerry" Farris of Amity; her father, William Farris of Mount Ida; her sister, Tina Harvey of Fayetteville; her paternal grandparents, A. L. and Revis Farris of Spiro, Oklahoma; and her fiancee, Charles Ducote of Amity.

Joey is survived by his father, Charles Ducote; his brother, Layton Crow; his sister, Savannah Crow; his maternal grandmother, Geraldine "Gerry" Farris; his maternal grandfather, William Farris; his maternal great-grandparents, A. L. and Revis Farris; and his paternal great-grandmother, Doshee Horn of Glenwood.

Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, June 14, 2003 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. John McAnally officiating.

Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Pallbearers will be David Garner, James Coleman, Edward Coleman, Donnie Hill, Gary Hill and Anthony Holcombe.

After reading all the wonderful things everone had to say about my sister and nephew, I felt compelled to leave my own entry. Growing up in Amity with Courtney was the best part of my childhood. I was never alone in anything I went through because she was always there for me. Even though I never got the chance to meet or hold Joey, I loved him with all my heart. Just as I loved my sister. I'm so very sorry to hear about Courtney and Joey, that is such a tragedy to hear something like that happen especially to someone you are so close to, they will be missed and I will always have a place in my heart for both of them. There are no words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I worked with Courtney at the Nursing Home, and enjoyed every day that I spent with her. She was a truely wonderful person, and will be missed by everyone. Just know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
