Not sure what to say?

It's hard to put words to a person who was larger than life. When I heard Joey died I was heart broken. I met him at a young age and went through some pretty hard times with him, but he always had a way to cheer people up. He was wild and quirky and could always make me laugh. And don't get me started on his art... He was easily one of the most talented people I've met in my life. He saw life through a different lens and struggled to express that through his art and how he treated people....

My heart goes out to the family. It hurt me deeply when a child is taken so soon..my thoughts and prayers for the family .

To know he was such a welled loved young man. And takin away so soon. Breaks my soul.. But god had something for him .. His spirit and strong love for life will lighten many life's.

MOST Love

Dear Kevin and Angie. I am so saddened to hear about your sweet Joey. Hadn't seen him since he was a very young boy, but your beautiful obituary made me wish I had kept in touch. He sounds like such a sweet, adventurous spirit . So hard to know what to say, but I wish you all my love and best wishes to help you get through this.

Dear Kirk family
Joey was a really good friend of mine, I was glad to hear from him a few weeks before he passed. We had a short chat but he made me laugh the whole time through. I used to live in the avenues and he would come over to hang out, he was always welcomed to stay the night if he needed to. We've worked together landscaping, on hot slc summer days we would sneak into swimming pools to cool off, he for sure was a free spirit and a true artist. I'm glad to have a painting from...

Angie, Kevin, Kelly and family:
We returned home after a 3-week trip on 11-11 and it has taken us until now to try to find the words to support you and comfort you, but all we can do is be broken-hearted with you.
We know Joey lives on in the kindness he showed, the comfort he shared and the love he brought into the lives of others. We will be forever grateful to have known Joey and your loving family for so many years.
Our deepest sympathies, Tom & Becky Colvin

Kevin, Angie, Kelly and all,

So sorry to hear about the devastating loss of your beautiful boy. Loss at any age is difficult but when such a vibrant, artistic, loving young man's life is cut short it seems unbearable. Your words in his obituary painted such a sweet picture of Joey. His loving spirit and your love for him was palpable. May the strength and love in your family sustain you through the coming days, months and years.

With love and gratitude,
