Not sure what to say?

I just heard today of Jackson's (as I knew him by) passing. What a tremendous loss to the community. A wonderful, wonderful man with an awesome sense of humor and one of the smartest people I have ever known. I worked with him at St. Joe's and he was always a pleasure to work with and talk to. My deepest condolences to those who knew him and loved him. I am sure he will leave behind a great legacy to those who were fortunate enough to have known him. RIP my friend.

I am so deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my friend Johaun. I got to know him a few years ago at the downtown Y working out and also meeting his Father Jerome. What a special father son relationship which demonstrated the beautiful character and family unit. I will miss him! My prayers are with his family to remain strong for Johaun. He will always live in our great memories. God Bless Mike Barrilo

Dr Jackson was a great mentor and friend to me. His knowledge and expertise in the nursing profession was a blessing to anyone who had the pleasure to be a student of his. May God bless his family, friends and especially his past and current students during this time.

My sincerest condolences to the entire family. Johaun was an incredible human being and a talented nurse. He gave so much to the students at St Joseph´s- sharing his knowledge and experiences. The Syracuse community has lost a great man Rest in peace my friend.

"Jackson", as I knew him 20+ years ago when he worked with us as a Licensed Practical Nurse in St. Joseph's Hospital Emergency Dept was one of the most caring, compassionate and intelligent nurses I ever worked with. I lost touch with him directly, but knew students who came under his direction and they truly enjoyed him as their nursing instructor. I did know, but wasn't at all surprised, that he rose to become such a force in the nursing profession. My condolences to his family....

Johaun you will truly be missed, I'm still in disbelief. Condolences and prayers to the family. May you rest in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior
