Just the other side of midnight, Sunday morning, raining, wind howling, on the top of the Coker drill derrick, John in his slicker suit inching nearer to the drill stem pulley to repair it, and re-string the drill stem cable. He could have waited, said do it on daylights and avoided the job altogether, but John wouldn’t wait, he couldn’t rest until the job was done; the mission accomplished. All your missions are complete now John, your work is done; so it’s time to take that well deserved...

I always liked working and talking with your dad, he was a great guy. He was always well respected by the guys. His passing is truely a loss for all. May you and your family find comfort in his rememberance as a true friend to so many. Our prayer are with him, you and your family,
