John and I were friends in grade school, companions in high school and college, and even more genuine friends in our adulthood. I really never knew as much about John as I do now after attending the services today. I am glad to have been a part of it all, to know about the demons that he fought, and the lives that he touched none the less. The events of the day leave me saddened for his suffering and your loss. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Abbott, Dom and family: My sympathy and prayers at the sudden loss of your son, brother and uncle John. I am sorry for your loss and I know that no words can touch your hearts or souls at this time. I shall pray for John and remember him from our young teenage years.
