John Joseph Acconzo

My condolences to John´s family. I had the opportunity to work with John on the Raritan Valley Line in the 1980s when he was Track Supervisor and I was in the Signal Department. He was one of those people you do not forget. He had a lead-by-example method of supervising which gained the respect of those who worked for him. His nickname back then was Big Dog! John was a professional in both knowledge of the railroad industry and his willingness to share that knowledge with others. I am so glad that I got to know John and his wife Ellen working at New Jersey Transit. John was a good man. My condolences to Ellen and the family.
