Sending prayers and sincere condolences to his family and friends. May God comfort and give you peace and strength during this difficult time. Please know that he will be greatly missed.

I met John at Cleveland State while working in the math testing center (1975-1978). His passion for baseball as well as mine enabled us to become good friends. My dearest condolences go out to the family. May God dry your tears and heal yourhearts

My Condolences.

We met John at the Adaptive PE Program at Cleveland State University over 20 years ago. Our Dear Late Son Michael who attended the program had Autism. He loved it and he loved seeing John every Monday evening. He had such optimism and sensitivity to all our children. He fully understood their challenges and their triumphs. John was the Ultimate Mensch! Margaret S. Chesler

I attended my first Indians game in 1980, and I sat out in the bleachers of old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. The Indians won the game that night, but one of the highlights was hearing a drum over my shoulder during some of the big moments of the game. It got everyone into the game. His drumming was a highlight for every game I attended from that point on. When visiting back in Cleveland in 2011, I was able to bring my family to a game, and my children were able to hear the awesome drumming...
