John J. Alderson

As a MSW graduate of the Class of 75, I remember Professor Alderson with fond memories. You could not help loving and appreciating him as he was a gifted Professor and even more gifted human being. He was tough but totally fair and compassionate. He wanted to give and get the best out of you. I was sorry to hear of John's passing, he will be greatly missed. I had wonderful times with him and Jeanne, especially our trip to India together. I bought a car from him that I drove and liked for 10 years! My thoughts and condolences go out to the whole family.

Keeping everyone in John's family wrapped in prayers of comfort and guidance moving forward. The Light of God surrounds you. The Love of God enfolds you.

Sorry I never knew him and am less for it. Happily, I can call his son, Doug, 'friend,' and that speaks volumes.
