Not sure what to say?

As a MSW graduate of the Class of 75, I remember Professor Alderson with fond memories. You could not help loving and appreciating him as he was a gifted Professor and even more gifted human being. He was tough but totally fair and compassionate. He wanted to give and get the best out of you. RIP, to a first class Professor and more importantly, one of the nicest and gracious men I have had the pleasure to meet. My sincere condolences to his Family, Friends and Colleagues. You can rest...

I was sorry to hear of John's passing, he will be greatly missed. I had wonderful times with him and Jeanne, especially our trip to India together. I bought a car from him that I drove and liked for 10 years! My thoughts and condolences go out to the whole family.

Keeping everyone in John's family wrapped in prayers of comfort and guidance moving forward. The Light of God surrounds you. The Love of God enfolds you.

Dear Family and good friends of the Alderson Clan,
Maria and I are thinking of you all and sending love. Your Dad was always so kind and his smile was both gentle and warm. Remembering him, we send you blessings for joy and rejuvenation.... we will be with you in spirit on the Memorial day. What an honor to have known John.
Love, Dale and Maria

Sorry I never knew him and am less for it. Happily, I can call his son, Doug, 'friend,' and that speaks volumes.

What a wonderful man, so full of life. I also have known his wife Jeanne from one of the Tallahassee Unity churches, and one of his sons, Doug Alderson, author of several books and a well known naturalist. Tallahassee is lucky to have had so many interesting and wonderful people that have lived and worked there, and John was one of the greats. RIP to you John, and I know you are continuing to light up the universe, wherever you are.
