John had an incredible wit and was a total hoot with a great heart. We was a master principal, putting together and leading staffs at many schools in his tenure, always in the best interests of the kids. Last but not least he was tough in the paint on the basketball court. RIP fellow Voidoid. Great memories!

John was my 7th grade "long term"substitute teacher at Bridlemile, fresh out of college. I always remember how "cool" he was, giving us an art assignment: to create an album cover. As a preteen, what an amazingly creative idea! I´m 65+ and still remember him for that. May his memory be a blessing.

Joe was my brother Tim Foley´s best friend in High School. We could hear Joe´s VW bug coming down 20th from 2 blocks away. Joe taught me how to drive in his VW. Joe and Jim Hanset would come every Friday night to my house to play poker with my dad. Some of the best life lessons were learned at that poker game with Jim-Ed. After the game Joe, Hanset and I would head to Farrels for ice cream. I was a lucky girl to have known Joe and my memories of him are all of fun, crazy laughter and...

This is a huge shock. John was an outstanding principal and human as well. He loved kids and education was a commitment he made to all. He put much thought and emotion into working with students and families. He was a favorite of mine . I have such good memories of the many student situations we worked on. I am sorry for Mimi and the kids. Take care.
