Not sure what to say?

John and Sandy, Let me offer my most sincere condolences on your loss. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Dear John and Sandy- I really don't know what to say except that I'm sorry for everything you have gone through over the last year. Your son sounded like an extraordinary young man. I'm sorry that I never got to meet him or put his wits to the test. Knowing the two of you I can only imagine how brilliant and engaging he was he was. Please accept my sincere condolences and love.

In my shock I offer you my deepest condolences and prayers to comfort you in your grief. What an amazing young man. I can´t fathom how such a incredible human being is taken from us so young. His legacy is eternal. May God grant him salvation and peace. My heart breaks for you my brother Vin and Sandy. God bless you.

My heart goes out to you and your entire family, John. There was much to be proud of in his life, and memories will stay forever. Stay strong.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

There´s no other way to say it; John fully embodied the precepts and ideals of VFMA. John and I overlapped, and he graduated a year after I did so it was a pleasure to watch him grow as a cadet. As early as I can remember, he always led by example. He was a tremendous leader, an accomplished academic, gifted athlete, and friend to many. He treated everyone equally and with the same consistent level of dignity and respect. It´s no surprise that he would go on to an exemplary life of duty,...

I am heartbroken over the loss of John. We were schoolmates at Valley Forge for a number of years. Even as a young man, I remember looking up to John. He was funny, smart, and above all else honest. I haven't spoken to John in years but it will never break the bond or respect I have for him. He was a good buddy, and those are hard to come by. Miss you, pal. -Ben Tinsley, VF Class of '04
