Not sure what to say?

Although I remember visiting Uncle Walter and Aunt Amy several times as a child, as well as visiting Cousin Carl and Betty, I don't remember having had the opportunity to meet Cousin John, but his first cousin, my mother, Natalie Hawley Cusworth (now also deceased) always spoke so highly of him and thought so much of him and his amazing accomplishments that we all felt we knew him. I was saddened to discover his obituary on line and his family are now in my prayers and those of my three...

Dr. Almquist was and is one of my all time favorite profs! He was not only smart, he knew how to get the information across. Most of all I will always remember his kindness! My prayers go out to all of his family and friends. I love you Dr. A.

Always an incredibly vibrant thoughtful man with a penchant for learning. I had the priviledge of caring for their landscape and trees on the Nittany Avenue property for a time and always kept watch through the winter when they were in Florida. One year I discovered a pest infestation on his Rhododendrons that would have wiped out the entire planting and called him in Florida to inform him. He was grateful that I did. Rest in Peace my friend.

Most engaging, enthusiastic prof I ever had. RIP sir.

Had the wonderful pleasure of caregiving with this great man and Norma when I worked for Brookline. About once a month he convinced me he needed "breaded fried oysters"--like I always made for my Dad. I loved being with both of your parents and hearing their stories. All my sympathy.
