Not sure what to say?

To the Alton Family - I am a member of the Riverview Rod and Gun Club. I knew Rod from the time he first visited the club and joined. Rod was one of the warmest, most gracious men I've ever known. Thanks to his always present sense of humor, we had many a good laugh together in Grayling. I will miss his humor and especially his warm smile. Rod and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Diane and Kate,
Your Uncle Max forward this on to us. On behalf of the Smith family, we too wish to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to you ar this time. Even though we didn't have many opportunities to see you and Rod, it was very appearant that you shared a great life together.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Diane and Kate,
I was saddened to hear of Rod's passing. Know that he will be remembered fondly by all those that worked with and knew him. His devotion to people who moved out of institutions and into real lives in the community must give you a strong sense of pride. I personally am happy to count Rod as a friend. Please know that many called Rod a friend.

My condolences to Rod's family--he is gone much too soon. I will remember his easy manner and sardonic wit, and the professional way he handled himself. I knew Rod as a Program Director at Hillcrest and when he came to work with us under Ben Censoni. He will be missed.

For the family of Rod Alton: Rod was my supervisor many years ago when I worked on the certification (IOC) team. Rod was a kind, patient, and knowledgeable supervisor. He truly made a positive impact on many people.

Dianne, Katie and I were saddened to hear of your husband's passing. We are thinking of all that you do for so many at WW. Your husband was lucky for your 39 years together. We miss you at our meetings and send you our love and prayers.
Love, Katie & Janet Sibbold

Diane and Kate: I remember fondly the years I worked for Rod, in Central Office/I.O.C. He was a compassionate, fair, and fun-loving boss. One of my best ever! Those who worked for him were very fortunate & will never forget him! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time.

Dianne & Kate:

I work with the D-WCCMHA in Detroit. I got to know Rod when the Specialized Certification Program was just starting up & I had lots and lots and whole bunches of questions regarding the process. I remember Rod's patience with me and never appearing to be irritated by my constant inquiries. It was a truly awesome experience to have known him and being able to tap into his vast store of knowledge. My sympathies and thoughts are with you two at this time.

Diane and Kate, My thoughts and prayers are with you. Rod was my supervisor at "IOC". I will remember him as a compassionate man, strong advocate for those unable to advocate for themselves, and a leader who always fostered a positive work enironment and valued teamwork.
