John passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017. John was a resident of Warwick, Rhode Island at the time of his passing. He had served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was married to Nancy J. (Moore) Amaral. Burial with military honors in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.

Over the years whenever we ran into each other, he always had a warm friendly smile, a joke, and kind words. A true gentlemen, in other words a "Great Role Model" for me growing up. Nancy,I`m so sorry to hear about John.I`m in Texas for the winter,and won`t bee home till 3/30.Nancy,you and John are in my thoughts and prayers.I`ll always remember the good times at Roger Willams Foods,and laughs we had.John was a good man,and I know he will be missed by ALL.Be strong,that`s what I know John would want.
