John Terrence ?Terry? Ambers, 70, of Telford, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp.

He and his life partner of 40 years, Paulette (Preuhs) Ambers were married on November 1, 2013.

Born in Lansdale, he was a son of the late Evelyn (Fisher) and John M. Ambers III.

A U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served and attained the rank of Captain.

He was a self-employed printer, and owned and operated Forms & Systems Printers.

Mr. Ambers enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, at his cabin in the mountains, hunting, cooking, his dogs, Max and Oscar, and clipping and using coupons.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Barbara Scholl and her husband Donald of Telford, Kim Ambers of York, Elise Walkington of York, four grandchildren: Logan Terrence, Darby Elizabeth, Zane, and Madison, and a brother, Thomas Ambers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford.

Even know I never met Terry in person I spoke with him once on the phone when I dialed the wrong number. During our conversation his humor and personality made me feel like we had grown up together. My prayers are with you and the family and now God has another angel in his army.
