So sorry to hear of John's passing. We have so many ancient and happy memories of his parents, Ambrose and Elfredia, and their sons John and Carl. We spent many pleasent times at Lions Clubs Conventions with them and truly enjoyed their friendship and shall always hold them in happy memory.

I was saddened by the news about John. We had not been in contact for many years, but he was one of my early friends from his days in Auburn and shortly thereafter. In fact, we were fraternity brothers and roommates in the Delta Chi house at Auburn. He was a funloving, good natured friend and I know will be greatly missed.

Dear Vicky,
I am travelling in Europe and just heard the terrible news. While I cannot be there in Pelham due to my travelling I want you to know that John was more than a business man to me. For the past ten years he has been a friend when I needed advise, an advocate when suggestions seemed to have no fertile soil and an inspiration. Saying I will miss him seems so inadequate. Perhaps it is better just to remember him with Tim in Cincinnati visiting IP or in Pelham when he allowed me...

Although we never met I heard John speak about his family many times. He always had you in his heart. He was a fierce competitor in our early years and later became an ally in business. I will remember his many phone calls just to say hello and his desire to find those little things that could always help us beat the competition.

I met John many years ago when I worked in Birmingham where he helped me hone my skills as a pump peddler. We reconnected many...
