Not sure what to say?

This Memorial Day, I will be running through Wear Blue: Run to Remember in honor of your son. As I run my four miles Monday morning, we will talk about your son along with other who are assigned to my fellow runners, and remember their sacrifice. We will thank them for all they (and their families) have given for our freedoms! He will not be forgotten!

Hello, We apologize for being so late in expressing our deepest condolences to you and your family. We want you to know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this holiday season and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of John Douglas Amos II US Army Private 1st Class. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to...

Thinking of John on this memorial day, as I do each memorial day. John and I weren't close but we went to elementary school together at Wadsworth. He was a truly unique person and I was devastated to hear of his passing. I hope the family is well and know that John is remembered and honored.

John, and his family are always on my mind and in my heart on this day. I wish with everything in me I could go back and change the events of that day. Your family and friends are in my prayers. God Bless you all.

I loved you on good times, you will always be remembered, always a big fan of yours. You will be missed.

I never knew John personally, but my friend Andy was very good friends with him while stationed together in Hawaii. I will be participating in a GORUCK event tonight, & I will be rucking in JD's memory....carrying his picture and sharing his story with the other participants. I am proud to be able to honor JD's sacrifice - his memory continues to live on! Never forgotten

Gently the rain falls as if tears are falling from heaven to mingle with ours. Always you will be remembered and loved.

The light shines on your Birthday and every day

To the family of PFC. John D. Amos, please allow me to express my sympathy although several years have passed. I have been working diligently to find out what I can through internet sources about every soldier that has fallen due to these circumstances, so that I may honor and recognize your solder even if it is in a small way. I wish J.D.'s family peace, I know it is a rough journey for those who have lost a loved one to war.
