I have known and loved Jo for 50 years. My husband died 10 years ago and Jo was one of his closest friends. Fortunately Betsey also lives in my heart tgether with Jo, and since I live in Norway I hold them both in the precious memories of my years in Chapel Hill.

I was sorry to hear about Joepassing. We have stayed in touch the past years since I have provided him with medical illustrations for his upcoming book. I hve been so impressed with his stamina to continue his work at his age! My father, Svein, was very fond of his friendship with Joe and one of the highlights for dad was to be invited with the "guys" to watch the super bowl! May he rest in peace. Love Kari (from Norway)
