John was an amazing friend to have gotten to known in my time at Champlain. I‘ll never forget the kindness John showed to everybody he met. I never imagined he would lose his life at such a young age. In honor of his life, I put together a Facebook fundraiser for my birthday that raised $730 for Rage Against Addiction. My very deepest sympathies to the Angelo family, most especially Steve and Ginny. I will always remember John as a kind and gentle young boy/teen when I went to various sport, music and school events for my son, Evan Hangley, a friend and classmate of John's. I enjoyed saying hello to Steve and Ginny and exchanging friendly hellos and humorous parenting banter. I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. We weren't particularly close, but I was in John's classes a few times and he was always somebody I could go to if I needed help or a good laugh.
