Not sure what to say?

Sending hugs to the Angelo family and John's friends during this time. Very hard to believe its been a year without him.

Sending prayers and best wishes to the family that Time has helped in the healing. God bless.

John was an amazing friend to have gotten to known in my time at Champlain. I‘ll never forget the kindness John showed to everybody he met. I never imagined he would lose his life at such a young age. In honor of his life, I put together a Facebook fundraiser for my birthday that raised $730 for Rage Against Addiction. Classmates of John‘s, my friends from my hometown, John‘s own friends, and people who found this fundraiser from other‘s sharing it donated. John‘s life will be remembered by...

My very deepest sympathies to the Angelo family, most especially Steve and Ginny. I will always remember John as a kind and gentle young boy/teen when I went to various sport, music and school events for my son, Evan Hangley, a friend and classmate of John's. I enjoyed saying hello to Steve and Ginny and exchanging friendly hellos and humorous parenting banter. In later years, it was always a welcome surprise to catch John and his warm smile behind the counter at Ben and Bill's. May he rest...

Mr. & Mrs. Angelo,

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. We weren't particularly close, but I was in John's classes a few times and he was always somebody I could go to if I needed help or a good laugh. He was always the one to break up the stress on test days, and always had a kind word to say about somebody. More recently, I saw him at work and had the opportunity to say hello. He still had the great energy I knew him for, and it makes me happy to know he kept it despite all...

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Angelo,

I am so sorry to hear about John's passing. He was such a wonderful kid and I really enjoyed having him in class. He had a special gift to make everyone around him laugh and feel good. It was students like your son that made my career teaching so enjoyable where I consider myself very lucky to have known him.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Angelo,

Dear Ginny and Steve and Family,
I am sending much love and many prayers for peace for your family. When I read of John's achievements and commitment to social justice, I am not surprised. I will never forget the assured young boy who sailed into our classroom announcing he was going to be a reporter! And he often practiced the art of the interview when he wasn't too busy playing or making art. Somewhere I am sure I still have his "notes" from interviewing Sheila and me about the...
