Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USN during the Korean War as a Tin Can Sailor on the Destroyer USS Hale(DD-642). And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

So Sorry to hear of John's demise. My sincere condolences to Sid and his family.
We go back together to the Rivers School where we both played
on a baseball team. John excelled in the sport as well as in his leadership in all of the activities he undertook. We will miss him.

John went on to excel in the sport and to leadership positions in all activities that he undertook. We will all miss him.
