I believe John and I served together on the USS Silversides SSN679. I enjoyed his company and considered him a friend. I still remember the last words he said to me when I left the boat for "C" school. I have searched for him for the last 20 years on the internet. I am so sorry for your loss and regret I was not able to contact him before he passed.
