John Artis

Mr. Artis was an amazing man. He was one of my councilors at school. His story really helped me in my direction with life. He was so cool; loved watching him play drums. He'd play box with me; show me a few combos; you could tell he'd trained a lot with Rubin. I haven't seen John in almost 20 years, but he most certainly is not forgotten.

A man with principles that would not be compromised!!

I just wanted to give a huge thanks to John. I met him when I was 11 years old in an institution. He was the most kindhearted person that I probably ever met. His patience with me and other kids was amazing. He taught me a lot about live and do not take it for granted. I remember him bringing in his drum set and showing up how to play. He also was big into showing out to play basketball as well too. He is someone that I will miss and hopefully I will see him again one day up in heaven

To the family, many, many friends, and colleagues of this wonderful man Mr. John Artis fine comfort with you during this difficult time in your lives. May the love and the special memory you shared with your husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and other relatives show just how much your life was touched by him.
