John R was a fantastic person. Patient and unselfish, rare qualities among men. We had many great conversations, especially at the dinner table. I miss his lively stories, and his booming hallelujas. He was a person who often put the needs of others ahead of his own needs, and was always willing to impart some wisdom when I was in need of advice. He will be missed greatly. I am praying for his surviving family. I know he is at peace now and not suffering any more. May God bless his...

I have known John for many years, and sang with him in the church choir, not only did I share his love of singing but we shared the same birthday May 1st, although a few years apart. I shall always remember the wonderful time we had at his Hawaiian Birthday Party in Monson.
He will be greatly missed by many people.

To John's Family:
As you well know, John was a unique person and personality. We spent many enjoyable hours together at Springfield Exchange Club meetings and Bar Association functions. It was always a pleasure to be in his company.
Although he will be missed, you can take comfort in knowing that he had a life well-lived, often in the service of others.
God bless him and you.
