Knew John since back in the middle sixties. He was the neighborhood historian down in our part of south 24th St. Known as Chartier's Place. Could always be found at 24th and Market for Memorial Day parade. Was sorry when left and moved to Reading area. A great guy. Our deepest sympathy to family and friends.
