Read MoreI am very sorry to hear of John's passing. I worked with him at Rockridge from 1975 until 1978 or 1979 when he left to work with Health America. He was a bright, caring and concerned leader of our group in the 70s who was dedicated to the effort to bring quality health care to an underserved community.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Dr. Austin. John was my medical resident during my rotating internship at Highland Hospital in 1973-74. The month I spent with John was was the highlight of my year at Highland. He was a superb clinician and wonderful teacher. I will always treasure the time I was able to spend with him.
