Not sure what to say?

Completing my message that was inadvertently sent, he was so articulate that he could explain complex health physics issues to ordinary jurors.

John was a great friend of the family. From his early days in Austin, TX where he and dad became friends to my time at GA Tech. It was an honor to know him. I will miss him. I remember him on "Nightline" with Ted Coppel years ago. John was always a voice of reason in the midst of confusion.

As a child Dr. Auxier was an important male role model in my life. Throughout my childhood and later into adulthood, I considered him to be one of the most interesting people I ever knew and the favorite of my father's many friends. I will miss him greatly.

With sadness, I learned of the passing of John earlier today, and extend my condolences to Mary Lou and the family. Loving Light Dishgarden

There are things that shape the course of one's life - people, events, decisions, to name a few. John is one of the people that help shape my life and career. He gave me my first job right out of school at ORNL and eight years later hired me again and brought me and my family back to East Tennessee. I'm very thankful for those opportunities and even more thankful that I was privileged to know him. My deepest condolences
to the family. He will be missed.

I worked in the radiological protection organization when John was the director. He was one of the most compassionate and caring people that I have ever known. I have thought of him often over the years, a truly good man.
