John Peter Babish Jr.

Scotch Plains – John P. Babish, Jr., 66 , died Sunday (February 19, 2012) peacefully at his home in Scotch Plains. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Scotch Plains since 2008. . John was a graduate of Johnson Regional H.S. in Clark, N.J., and a member of the Steamfitter's Union Local 475 for 40 years, retiring in 2008. He was a lifetime professional musician, and a member of the American Federation of Musician's Union Local 151. He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie ( Sorrentino) Babish, his sons Jason Albert Babish of Linden, John Peter Babish lll of Red Bank, and his sister Stacey (Babish) Haras of Edison. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, on Tuesday from 3-8 PM with a memorial service at 8 PM. Cremation will be private.
