Not sure what to say?

A big smile comes to my face when I think of Mr. B. A rather imposing figure when you are a 145 pound freshman. He took no guff from us pencil neck freshman and you were officially promoted to the "toad row" for one week if you didn't do well. This may seem excessive now-a-days but this man was an excellent teacher - knowledgeable, inspiring, and entertaining at the same time. Rest in Peace Mr. B.

An award ceremony for my Dad at Arch Bishop Carroll. My brother Chris dad and myself 5/92

John was one of the pillars of Carroll who touched and molded thousands of young men both in the classroom and on the athletic field. He was especially kind to me as one of the younger coaches upon my arrival in 1977. He was then, and shall always remain, a great mentor and even better friend. My sincere condolences to the family of "Mr. B." I had the honor, privilege and pleasure of being coached, taught and disciplined by this wonderful man. It says a lot about a person who would spend his life teaching, mentoring and showing the way to a bunch of knuckleheads trying to understand how to navigate adolescence. Thank you for all of lessons in class those lessons extended far beyond the classroom. Signed a greatful Carroll student. May God continue to bless you and your family.

RIP John, Al and Frank will welcome you ! You will be missed.

He will be missed. A huge part of the Carroll Family.

Mr. B was the first man I wanted to see in the Carroll cafeteria the night after Thanksgiving for many years. He was tough-minded and caring which helped shape many a boy into a man. My condolences to the family who has lost a truly great and inspiring man!
