Not sure what to say?

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I worked with John in the OR at Baystate Medical Center in the OR years ago and have many fond memories. He was a great co-worker and mentor to me at the time.

John is one of the most wonderful and cheerful people I had the privilege to work with . Any day I saw him in the OR he would be smiling and state as to how lucky he was to do what he was doing. Even when his medical issues flared up he used to only talk about positive things. He always talked about his plans and was proud of his son . We always talked about our service in Baystate . I pray for his soul to rest in peace and his family to be able to deal with this unbearable loss . I feel...

When you begin sharing a memory here it asks you how you know John C Bal. Family, friend work... to me John was all this to me. We first met when I began my early days at BMC, working in the stock room until I left 20 years later working beside him in the OR. He was family, he was my friend and co-worker, and I will greatly miss bumping into him around town. Not a day went by when working with him that he didn't make you smile. His enthusiasm and dedication for the work he did for the...

Jeanne, I am so unbelievably sorry to hear of your husband´s passing. Please know I am keeping you and your family close to my heart. Sending love, hugs, comfort and peace to you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with John´s family. I had the pleasure of working with John for over 30years. I never once seen him in a bad mood. He was always smiling and laughing. He was also "Johnny on the spot" if you needed something fixed. He meant a lot to those who worked with him. I will miss you Johnny B!

I used to bump into John at Baystat for so many, he always had a "Hey there" or "How ya doing?" for everyone he passes by. You could tell he took pride in his work and enjoyed his coworkers. My deep condolences to his family on this loss.

So sorry to hear that John is gone. Whenever I saw him at Baystate it was always a high point of my day. I will so miss his upbeat manner and smile. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.

Farewell my old friend. I saw you last two weeks ago and we laughed at the memories of our youth. The "Bal Mobile" was our chariot. Each adventure an uncertain destination, a celebration of life. We embraced the 70s with gusto. Thank you for your friendship and humor. The first time I met you was in 6th grade when you recited your original poem: "Jack be nimble, Jack be quick. Please stand still, you're making me sick." I knew right then that this was a guy I needed to be friends with. It's...
