Not sure what to say?

Sure do miss you and our music times.

John was my "big cousin." I first remember him as a teenager, when I was still a little kid. I looked up to him and he taught me stuff, and when we got older he became my friend. He's the first person to show me a bar of Neutrogena soap, which I thought was just cool clear orange soap until the day I needed it. John was our personal Weatherman. He was fascinated with meteorology, so every time we'd visit my Aunt Joy we'd look forward to asking John about the forecast. He knew so much about...

Brother John- You were such a buddy that I thank God for creating you. When Roanoke City bused NW-Roanoke Junior High Schools to SW-Patrick Henry High, it was NOT convenient for me to leave all my friends behind. My first impression of PH was that of our solar system- everybody had their own planet. Yet, your kindness of carrying on conversations with me was like the Sun's energy! Very few classmates were like that. We talked about things in BILLBOARD and about our classwork in Mrs....

I enjoyed seeing John at MFA family picnics and other social gatherings, where he and I would talk about politics and his Dallas Cowboys versus my N.Y. Giants. Sometimes if I stopped by to see my wife, John would pop his head into the office and say "Hey, did you hear what Rush had to say today about . . .?" John was just a fun guy to be around and he had a good heart. He will be missed.

John will be missed greatly. I spent many Friday nights with and his computer friends on DoWop cove. We loved talking about oldies and his newest finds for albums. John loved to predict the weather with me! I will miss his kindness.

I worked with John for over 10 years and he was a great co-worker and friend. Rest in Peace John.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of a fellow Star Trek fan. I fondly remember our discussions about the show, about your radio show and about your trips to and who you interviewed at the Andy Griffith Festival in Mount Airy. My work days were lightened by our testing each others episode knowledge of both original Star Trek, the Star Trek fan episodes and The Andy Griffith Show. Fly boldly to your new adventure John. My heartfelt sympathies to your friends and family.
