Not sure what to say?

Dr.Balthrop was my family doctor for most of my youth in Pensacola. He was also the team doctor st Escambia High School where my father, Punk Gorday was the coach. They were very good friends and Dr. Balthrop was our family doctor for all 7 of my dad and moms(Margaret Gorday) children. He was instrumental in providing medical care for me when I was a year or so old in Mobile. We are forever grateful for his friendship to our family and the loving care he gave us. When my father passed he...

Love you Grandad you never met me but I know you're watching me in heaven❤

John, Was a true gentleman and human being. Kind, generous and understanding. I shall always be grateful to him for taking me in as part of his family at a very difficult time in my life. May God Bless him and his dear wife. May they rest in peace.

Dr John Balthrop and his lovely wife Ellen gave me a home at a bad time in my life. I was an Irish student who ended up in Florida, having lost my mum some years earlier in a tragic accident. I shall never forget their generosity and that of the rest of their family. John and Ellen lived their faith through the generosity and kindness that they showed to those who needed it.

Dr. Balthrop was a wonderful man. He was great friends with my father, Coach Gorday, and was the Escambia Rebels doctor for many years. He also provided excellent care for all my family, my father and mother and seven children. I want to express my sincere condolences to the family. Dr. Balthrop will always be thought of very fondly in our memories.

William C, Dewerry,

To the Balthrop Family,
I did not know all of you that close, but Pat, and Sheila along with the rest of the family, all my caring and sympathies.

Dear Balthrop Family,
Your family has been so very dear to me for as far back as I can remember. It was such a joy to be able to pray with you, celebrate the wonderful liturgy with you, witness your faith, see your smiles, feel your tears, hug you, visit with you, and rejoice in all that each of you have become. Your Mom and Dad would be so very proud of you! They were extraordinary people who were a gift to all who knew them. They were an inspiration on how to live and laugh and...

Although we didn't have a Balthrop child in the CHS Class of '70, they were all around us. He was not my doctor, but I know from stories told by the Bonifay family that he saw many of them throughout the years and was on the sidelines for many CHS football games. People of his caliber and belief are harder to come by in this generation. Accept sincere condolences from the whole Bonifay Family, for your family's loss of such a viable human being.
