Not sure what to say?

Thinking back to the late 1940's when I became a fan first, then a crew member for several of Johnny's rivals, he will be remembered as the EARNHARDT OF LONG ISLAND DRIVERS... Always racing for the win. JOEY, I used to yell myself hoarse watching you in a TQ at Riverhead; if only more current fans knew from where your talent came.
George Jasberg, ex-ARDC and NASCAR
"Stooge."

JC:
My happiest childhood memories were of going to the races and driving you to PA to Bloomsberg, Reading, etc.and having cheese and butter sandwiches and going to the Key City Diner after the races with you Mikey D and Sonny. We remained friends and my children thought of you as a grandpa. I know your up in heaven hanging with my Dad talking racing. God Bless!

Sorry to hear, Johnny was a great racer and a true gentelman.

Johnny Coy was a gentleman and a class act and true racer. Ed & Carol Duncan (NEMA Steward Ret.)

You will be greatly missed. You definetly kept everyone on there toes and you will never be forgotten......Our thoughts our with you.....

The first time I ever went to the races was at Freeport Stadium (NY) to watch the Midgets race, around the mid-1960's. I'll never forget, my grandfather leaned over and told me, "Now, Johnny Coy is the one to watch..." And I'll be darned! Johnny Coy, driving the #1, came up through the field, picking off cars left and right, high and low, and sometimes right through the middle of the pack, and won the race in tremendous fashion. I fell in love with racing! I had the pleasure of meeting...

JC, thanks for those early mornings at the golf course. I like to think you are swinging your clubs right now with the same form as the good old days and I’m sure the first thing you did after St. Peter handed you a new set of clubs, was to re-engineer them.

Cheers, Johnny.

Johnny, It was a pleasure meeting you and sharing stories about my
uncle, Al Duffy. May you rest in peace.

John will be remembered for being a class individual both on and off the track.

God Bless
