Aloha Annie, I just opened my e-mail and was sadden to hear of the passing of Johnny, He will be greatly missed by so many, especially by many back home in Hawaii, Every year when i go back home our grampa and many of the kupuna's always ask how's handsome Johnny Barend doing. I'll always remenber when he came to the shop to bring us portuguese sauage and talk story. Our Thoughts and prayers are with you Annie. May God bless your family. My dad was into wrestling and we spent many a Wednesday nite at the Edgerton Park Sports Area in the 40's and 50's. Johnny was always the local hero. It was another time and another place--but thank you for the memories "Johnny."
